Donations
We are very grateful to those devotees who have continued their sponsorship of festivals and other services offered by the temple even during the lock-down. We are also thankful to devotees who made spontaneous donations during the lock-down period. While this helped to reduce the impact, it was the cancellation of fund raising events such as food parcels that have had the greatest negative impact on our finances.
It is our aim that we do everything possible to avoid further borrowing from the bank to bridge this gap as it increases the financial risk. To this end many well meaning members and devotees have suggested that we make a special appeal to our Temple community for their support to get through this difficult period. After much thinking and deliberations, we have decided to make a One-Off Appeal for Funds towards bridging this deficit. As it is a donation, it is entirely up to you as to the amount of donation you wish to make.
Instead of one-off donations, some devotees may prefer making regular contribution through automatic payment. This will certainly help our mortgage payments and would be welcomed with gratitude as well. As you would be aware, all donations to our temple are eligible for tax credit.

Community hall hire rates
Wedding
Hall Hire: $700 (To be paid directly to Temple)
Priest: $350 ( recommended rate, to be paid to priest during the wedding)
2nd Priest : $150 ( recommended rate, to be paid to priest during the wedding)
*The wedding ceremony will be conducted by Thirumurugan Temple priests unless expressly approved by the management
Other Purposes
Daily rate: $350 (Musical Event | Birthday Party | Private functions)
Hourly Rates : $50 ( Prayers and meetings, minimum use of 2 hours)
Hourly Rates : $20 (Conducting classes, exams or practices for music, religion and cultural programmes by registered charities)
- The temple community hall will be available to host weddings, birthday parties and other private functions.
- The hall hire should be paid at the time of booking.
- Users are responsible for purchasing garlands, flowers, coconuts, other consumables, cleaning items etc
- Hall must be cleaned and rubbish removed from the hall after the function. All bagged rubbish can be put in the waste collection bin outside the hall.
- No cooking is allowed in the hall. However, serving pre-cooked vegetarian food is allowed. Users should provide plates, cups, etc.
- Hall will be available during weekends and public holidays when there is no special festival.
- Alcohol is not allowed into the temple premises.
- Political and other religious meetings are not allowed.
- Some other specific conditions may apply.
